All Native American High School Academic Team

The AIGC All Native American High School Academic Team honors ten American Indian and Alaska Native high school students. The key element, to be given most weight by the judges, will be a student’s outstanding original academic, artistic or leadership endeavor. The judges will be influenced by the student’s ability to describe that outstanding endeavor in his or her own words. Teachers or community members nominate applicants. Criteria for the Team were developed in consultation with AIGC’s staff, board and goals.

Students will be honored in the national press and in The American Indian Graduate, AIGC’s biannual magazine. Additionally, the Executive Director of the American Indian Graduate Center will present students with a certificate of honor.

The All Native American High School Academic Team program is implemented by AIGC thanks to a grant from the Tommy Hilfiger Corporate Foundation.
